The Grenadian Cultural Association of BC (GCABC) is a non-profit organization, incorporated on July 21, 1998. Association’s aims and objectives:

To Develop

and maintain a sense of unity among Grenadians in BC

To Act

as a resource for Grenadians in BC

To promote

awareness of Grenada within the community

GRENADA

Grenada was discovered in 1498 by Christopher Columbus who named it “La Grenade”. It is also known as the “Isle of Spice”.

Grenada changed hands 14 times before coming under British rule. On February 7, 1974 it was granted nationhood and became an independent nation. The year 2021 marks the 47th year of Grenada’s Independence from Great Britain.

Grenada is known for its aromatic spices, white sandy beaches, friendly people and cultural festivals.

Become a Member

Membership consist of:
Grenadians and their dependents, associates and juniors, who are willing to observe the guiding principles of the Association.

Full membership

Shall be open to all Grenadians and their dependents who are willing to observe and accept the guiding principles of the Association.

Associate Membership

Shall be open to those who are not eligible for full membership and who are willing to observe and accept the guiding principles of the Association.

Membership Fees

Family membership: $50.00 per year
Single membership: $30.00 per year
Associate Membership: $30.00 per year
Youth Membership: $5.00 per year

Meetings

Currently, meetings are held virtually on Zoom the third Friday of each month. We hope to be resuming in-person and hybrid meetings in the near future.
