GCABC President named to
100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2022
The Grenadian Cultural Association of British Columbia is pleased to announce that its President, Monyifa Ayinde, has been named a “100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Honouree” for 2022.
This prestigious honour is bestowed upon black Canadian women who were identified as having contributed significantly to their communities in the areas of government, not-for-profit, financial, legal, real estate, health, education/academic, entertainment, fine arts, unsung heroes, trailblazers, firsts, and also posthumous heroes. Ms. Ayinde has served her community both professionally throughout her career and also personally, by selflessly giving of her time in volunteer service for many years.
“We are thrilled to share in our President’s achievement. For over two decades, Monifa Ayinde has served in a number of roles to support the advancement of the Black community. This recognition marks a storied career of community service,” says Robert Gabriel at GCABC.
This news comes in the wake of recent initiatives and accomplishments of the Association, including the 2022 Community Engagement Session – Anti-racism legislation, sponsored by the Province of British Columbia.
